What is "bandwidth"?

Bandwidth is the speed at which you can access content on the internet, usually measured in "Megabits per second", or "Mbps".

If bandwidth is the width of a highway, Mbps is the speed limit that determines how fast the traffic (data) can travel on it. The higher the Mbps, the faster the potential speed of your Internet connection, allowing for quicker download and upload of files, smoother streaming, and better overall online performance.

Why do I experience buffering or lag?

Lag and buffering are often caused by network congestion, meaning too much traffic and not enough bandwidth to support it all. When this happens, it takes longer for data to reach your devices as it has to wait for traffic.

Latency is a measure of the time it takes for data to travel from a website or other online service to you and your devices. If this takes too long, it can cause lag or buffering during online activities such as gaming, video conferences, and video calls.

Is Wi-Fi coverage holding you back?

A lack of Wi-Fi coverage can affect your devices ability to stream content reliably on wireless connections.

Boost your wireless connectivity with Wi-Fi Pods! Get wall-to-wall coverage so you can feel the freedom to move throughout your home while staying connected.
