Binge your favourite action shows while you binge on some popcorn with a punch. Catch Supergirl and all the action on Showcase with some BOOM! POW! POP(corn)!
And yes, like Supergirl this kernel does all its own stunts.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup popcorn kernels
- 3tbps canola oil
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp chili power
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- 1 ½ tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
- Here come the special effects: mix spices in small bowl.
- Microwave butter for 30 seconds to melt it.
- Heat the skillet over medium heat. Pour in oil and add a couple of kernels of corn to test.
- Add the rest of the kernels; remove pan from heat and shake pan to coat kernels with oil.
- Place pan back on heat and cover with lid.
- This is where things get really exciting. Shake pan vigorously for an even pop once kernels start popping.
- Add the popcorn to bowl, pour in the seasoning and butter. Cover it and shake well to allow all the spices to coat every kernel. Now that’s a spicy ending.

- 1 bag microwave popcorn
- 1 cup white candy melts
- 1pk popping candy
- Sprinkles
Instructions
- It’s as easy as 1-2-3-4 steps! Make the popcorn, then place it onto a cookie sheet and let it cool.
- While that’s cooling, melt the candy melts (you can microwave them). Drizzle melted candy melts onto the popcorn.
- This is our favourite part: sprinkle popping candy onto the popcorn.
- Add sprinkles and allow it to harden before you dig in. All done! Now you can enjoy your sweet reward with your favourite family friendly shows.

Ingredients
- ½ cup popcorn kernels
- 285 g kale (alt: spinach or any leafy greens)
- 6 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (cut into pieces)
- 1/3 cup parmesan
- Sea salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Create the perfect conditions for sci-fi inspired popcorn: heat the oven to 300°F. Rinse and dry kale. Donʹt forget to discard tough stems.
- Lightly oil two large baking sheets. Arrange kale evenly on sheets and sprinkle with salt.
- Bake in the oven for 12-14 minutes until kale is crisp. Remove and let cool.
- Grind kale chips to a coarse powder with food processor or mortar and pestle.
- Heat large pot over medium heat. Place 3 tbsp of oil in pot and add a couple of kernels of corn to taste.
- Add the rest of the corn; remove pot from heat and shake to coat kernels with oil. Place pot back on heat and cover with lid.
- Shake pot vigorously for an even pop once kernels start popping. Remove pan from heat as last kernels pop.
- Watch your popcorn transform before your eyes. Add popcorn to a large bowl and add the remaining 1-2 tbsp of olive oil, kale dust, parmesan, salt, and a sprinkle of black pepper. Toss until evenly coated and taste. Adjust seasonings as needed.

Ingredients
- For the caramel:
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ½ cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar packed
- ¼ tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- For the popcorn mixture:
- 7 cup popped popcorn
- 1 ½ cups pretzels (mini twists)
- ¾ cup roasted and salted peanuts
- 1 cup candy coated chocolate
- 1 cup mini peanut butter cups
Instructions
- Like every good news story, it starts with a little heat. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (don’t use foil). Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine popcorn, peanuts and pretzels. Set it aside.
- Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and corn syrup. Increase heat to medium high and bring to boil. Stir it often.
- Lower heat and allow to simmer for 2 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat. Stir in salt and vanilla.
- Add in baking soda until the mixture starts to lighten. Immediately pour over the popcorn, peanuts, and pretzels and stir until the mixture is evenly coated.
- Spread popcorn mixture onto a baking sheet and bake for 2 minutes. Remove from oven and stir, continue baking for another 2 minutes. Remove and let cool.
- Once popcorn mixture has cooled, toss in candy coated chocolate and mini peanut butter cups. Break into pieces before serving. Pair with your favourite news or reality movies and TV shows for a truly mind-blowing experience.
