Northwestel opens a new, accessible retail store in Whitehorse, closes former location
Whitehorse, YT, May 29, 2025 - The doors to Northwestel’s new retail store in Whitehorse opened to the public on the morning of May 29th. Located on the first floor of Chu Níikwän Place at 9027 Quartz Road, the new retail store is situated across from the Yukon River on Kwanlin Dün First Nation (KDFN) settlement land and is also home to Northwestel’s headquarters in Whitehorse.
The new space features a modern, accessible design with a wheelchair-friendly layout and the latest in energy-efficient technology. There are several benefits to customers visiting the store, including private tables, demonstration areas, and parking available on-site. The welcoming interior features an open floor plan complemented by custom millwork created by local tradespeople.
“This relocation is an important step for us as we expand our partnership with Chu Níikwän LP.
