HAY RIVER, NT – Hay River and Inuvik residents can now catch all the best in real-time sports, drama, news and more with the all new Northwestel TV Plus – starting from just $25 per month for the basic plan. Northwestel TV Plus subscribers can enjoy more than 100 channels in beautiful high definition, including specialty channels like Crave, Movies & HBO by simply adding on channel packages. 

Families can now watch Northwestel TV Plus at home on the big screen while saving their Internet usage for other things. And they can also watch their favourite content on the go on their mobile phone or tablet. 

“We’re opening up an exciting new realm of entertainment for our customers” says Northwestel’s President Curtis Shaw. “With Northwestel TV Plus, we’re giving customers more flexibility than ever. It means you choose the content you want how you want to watch it. It means we can bring live TV service where Northwestel TV wasn’t previously available.” 

This launch represents just the latest in Northwestel’s significant investments in bringing state-of-the-art communications and entertainment to northern Canadians. The company plans to roll out Northwestel TV Plus to every land-served community in the Yukon and Northwest Territories over the coming year along with its Every Community project.
