How to access your Northwestel email

You can access your Northwestel email from a web browser (recommended) or you can use an email app on your computer or device. This article shows you how.

You can set up your Northwestel email so you can access it from a third-party email app on your computer or mobile device. To do this, you’ll need to add your Northwestel email account to the email settings on the device or app.

  1. On your device or email app, choose the option to add an email account.
If you don’t know where to find this option, see the Help documentation for your device or email app.
  2. When prompted, enter your Northwestel email address and password.
  3. Manually enter the Northwestel mail server settings listed in the Mail server settings table to complete the setup.

Enter the following IMAP or POP3 mail server settings to set up your email on your third-party email app. We recommend using IMAP settings because it lets you access your email from multiple devices.

IMAP and POP3 are two different ways to get email.

With IMAP, your email is stored on our system. You can access your email from any device and changes to your email (like sending, receiving, or deleting messages) are synced between all your devices, including Webmail.

With POP3, your email is downloaded to the device you’re using. Changes to your email aren't synced between your devices. For example, if you delete a message on one device, that message won't be deleted in Webmail or any other devices you use for email.
