Adventures in guilty pleasures! Brand new TV you can’t look away from.

We all need a little break from routine sometimes and what better way to venture into some excitement than to indulge in some guilty pleasure TV? Here’s fall’s juiciest new TV shows you’re going to go ga-ga over!

Snake Oil

Premiere’s September 27, 2023 on Northwestel TV Plus CTV

It’s no secret that Northerner’s spend a lot of time online shopping, and that may come in handy with this new gameshow Snake Oil, hosted by comedy legend David Spade and executive-produced by Will Arnett.

“When FOX asked me to host their new show, I was flattered, said host Spade. “But then they told me it was about a shady snake oil salesman, and I was a little less flattered to be the guy that immediately comes to mind.”

First the contestant chooses a pair of entrepreneurs and learn about their (often) outlandish or peculiar product in everybody’s favourite way to learn about new products: infomercials. Contestants get the help of guest celebrity advisors as they ask the entrepreneurs questions to help them determine whether their product is for real, or if it’s nothing but modern ‘snake oil’.

Guess along with contestants on whether pitched products are real or fake. But careful, you might get fooled by very convincing and charming salespeople!
