Iqaluit Rotary 45th anniversary Christmas Hamper Drive

Iqaluit Rotary club is hosting this year’s hamper drive on December 16th. In honour of 45 years of giving, their goal is to raise $45,000 to hand deliver hampers to Iqalummiut elders, students, and families. Northwestel was happy to help them reach their goals and donated $5000 towards the program. We’ve also supplied helpful volunteers to deliver the hampers. You can help spread holiday cheer too and donate towards supplying a family in need with all the fixings to make a holiday meal!

Whitehorse and Yellowknife Toy Drive

In partnership with the Whitehorse Firefighters Charitable Society, and the Salvation Army, Northwestel hosted the annual Toy Drive! We donated $5000 to each to help kickstart the season strong. Toy donations for children and youth were requested to help light up the holiday of families in need.

After 4 weeks the Toy Drive brought in 413 gifts! These toys will be distributed to northern children and be sure to bring smiles on the special day.

We thank everyone for their generous contributions towards making everyone’s holiday season merry and bright this 2023.
