Managing your data usage when using Northwestel TV Plus and the Northwestel TV Plus app

You can stream live TV, On Demand content, and more in Northwestel TV Plus and in the Northwestel TV Plus app on your iOS or Android mobile device, Apple TV, or Amazon Fire TV device.

You can use the Northwestel TV Plus app when at home or on the go, while connected to a Wi-Fi or mobile (cellular) network.

Here’s more information about how data usage works when you’re watching from home and when you’re away from home.

Watching Northwestel Live TV, Recordings, and On Demand content on the Northwestel TV Plus box or in the Northwestel TV Plus app when connected to your Northwestel home Wi-Fi network does not count towards your internet usage.

Watching content in the Northwestel TV Plus app on a mobile network uses your mobile data. Standard mobile data usage charges may apply. Check with your mobile provider if you have questions about your mobile data usage.

Watching content on a guest Wi-Fi network such as at a coffee shop, hotel, or at a friend’s house, uses the data of that guest Wi-Fi network.

Note Keep in mind that some content might not be available when you’re away from home. Because of content provider restrictions, some channels may only be available when you’re watching on your Northwestel home Wi-Fi network.
