Ashley Brooks – GIS Implementation Manager

Ashley didn’t go to school for GIS. It’s a passion she didn’t even know she had. That’s the beauty of having no limits. You never know where you’ll end up.

After a brief stint in mining after high school, Will realized manual labour wasn’t everything he wanted. He got his foot in the door doing tech support and, from there, got an appetite for IT. By always learning, and grabbing opportunities as they came along, Will has worked his way up into a senior technology position.

Engineering
Flex your figure-it-out skills and tackle technical problems with real-world solutions. Design networks and systems in partnership with vendors and fellow team members.
Get started as a Network Analyst and make sure the mighty network that connects northerners across all 3 territories and 2 provinces is running at top notch. From there, you can grow into other jobs like Configuration Manager and Senior Network Architect.

Technology
Push the boundaries of how we connect with each other and the world. Build and monitor networks, systems or apps that make the North more connected.
Get started as a Service Desk Clerk and help our customers troubleshoot problems like slow connections or pixelated TV experiences. From there you can grow into other jobs like IT Technician and IT Security Analyst.

Field
Install and repair world-class equipment from river valleys to mountaintops, right across the North. Or, hook up your neighbours with exciting new technology that keeps them connected to the things they love most.
Get started as a Service Technician and connect your friends, family and neighbours with the latest and greatest Internet and TV technology. From there, you can grow into other jobs like Radio Technician and Manager of Field Operations. Starting out in the Field is a great way to introduce you to other career paths at Northwestel too!
