Troubleshooting watching shows in the Northwestel TV Plus app on Apple TV or Fire TV

If you’re unable to watch shows or playback doesn’t resume when using Northwestel TV Plus on your Apple TV or Fire TV device, try the following:

If you’re still experiencing playback issues after trying these steps, call us at 1 888 423-2333.

Make sure you’re connected to your Northwestel home Wi-Fi network and your internet connection is working. In a web browser on another device, such as your mobile device, try browsing to https://nwtel.ca/ and a few other websites.

  • If you’re connected to the internet, go to the next step.
  • If you get an error message saying you’re not connected to the internet, or you can’t connect, your internet connection may be down. Learn how to troubleshoot your internet connection.

Try playing another show. It could be an issue with the specific show that you’re trying to watch.

  • If you have Apple TV, learn how.
  • If you have Fire TV, go to Settings, select Applications, and then select Manage Installed Applications. Select the Northwestel TV Plus app, and then Force stop.
  • If you have Apple TV, learn how.
  • If you have Fire TV, go to Settings, select Applications, and then select Manage Installed Applications. Select the Northwestel TV Plus app, and then select Force stop.
